OSHA 10-Hour General Industry
The 10-hour General Industry course is to provide an entry level worker’s general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards in a general industry setting.

- Industries include but not limited to: Health Care, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution, Retail

- Introduction to OSHA
- Walking & Working Surfaces, including Fall Protection
- Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans and Fire Protection
- Electrical
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Hazard Communication
- Machine Guarding Safety
- Ergonomics
- Recordkeeping & Reporting
- Hazwoper
Course features
Learning method:
When taking a course in a self-study, participants are provided with materials and will complete the course at their own pace.
When taking a course in a classroom, participants do a 10 hour course.
Duration:
- When studying in a self-study method, we recommend 8 weeks for this course
- When studying in a face to face classroom, we will conduct a course in 10 hours.
Assessment:
- An open book exam in 24 hours for a self-study method.
- A close book with a multiple choice test question in 3 hours.
You must make a score of at least 70% to pass this course.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course and pass the tests, a participant will receive a certificate of OSHA 10-hour for General Industry issued by BCOSP
